Sometimes we don’t know where to go with an arrangement. What do you think, Mike? A reasonable question, but Mike will give it a lot of thought. Twenty minutes later Mike will have us revamp the song and throw in time change ups and all these weird ideas. It all seems crazy until you work it out, and then of course, that’s how to play it. Mike plays bass, sings, and has great ideas and high lonesome harmony. He has played everything and he has a great ear, great feel, and he sees how it could be.
